ENERPAT® Mattress Shredding and Separation Solution

Pocket Coils are conveyed to a double shaft shredder, which is crushed to a size of 50x800mm or smaller, and then further reduced to 80mm. The material is then separated through a magnetic separator to extract spring steel. Following this, a Z-type separator removes impurities, resulting in high-purity spring steel. This production line is suitable for mattresses that are 1.2 meters wide or narrower, with manual feeding.

Solution Background

With the improvement of living standards, a large number of old mattresses are facing elimination, presenting challenges due to their large volume and heavy weight, as well as the increasing environmental hazards of direct landfilling and incineration. Components such as springs, fabrics, and foam within mattresses contain significant recycling value, prompting us to explore new methods for scientific processing and resource utilization.

 

Therefore, the Pocket Coil Shredding and Separation Solution was developed, aiming to achieve efficient recycling and environmentally friendly disposal of mattress waste through key technologies such as shredding, fine crushing, magnetic separation, and Z-type separation.
